How are PANELIZED homes constructed?

Tribal Building Solutions also utilizes the latest advancement in Structural Insulated Panel technology also known as “SIPS” panels through an exclusive factory-direct relationship with Energy Panel Systems Inc. (EPS)

Styrofoam and steel panels combine the highest energy saving insulation values with the ease of panelized construction to yield a simple, energy efficient structural wall system.

Panels are built using the details outlined in the 2003 IRC residential code for cold roll formed steel construction and fully comply with these guidelines. This eases the time constraints and the high cost of extensive custom engineering. With R-values ranging from 22 to over 40, EPS panels save consumers in energy costs during all seasons and in all regions of the world. Panels are produced in assembly shops using patented technology and quality control standards that are the highest in the industry.

This provides a unique modularized system that overcomes the shortfalls of many other systems while maintaining cost competitiveness with “stick-built” wood construction.

The use of these guidelines allows Tribal Building Solutions to complete projects ranging from small additions and custom homes to even the large commercial projects. The flexibility of steel in construction applications means that panels can be produced with very high strength by simply using a heavier gauge steel or increasing the size of the stud being used. Headers used in Energy Panels are L-Shaped headers, which are simple in design and offer great strength when applied over even the largest openings. Beam pockets and posts for heavy load bearing attachments may also be added to panels. Structural steel Energy Panels can be finished with a wood top plate matching the thickness of the panel. This plate is used to secure roof trusses, floor joists and drywall on the inside.
